At Good Tales Kids, we aim to provide a smooth and transparent purchasing experience. Please read this policy carefully to understand how refunds, returns, and cancellations are handled for our digital and physical products.

This website is owned and operated by Smizekart, an Indian business entity, operating under the brand name Good Tales Kids.


Overview

Good Tales Kids offers:

  • Digital storybooks (instant download)
  • Physical printed storybooks (shipped within India)

Due to the nature of these products, refund, return, and cancellation conditions differ for each category.


Digital Products (PDF / Downloadable Storybooks)

Due to the nature of instant digital downloads, we do not offer refunds, returns, or cancellations once the purchase is completed and the download link has been accessed.

Exceptions (Case-by-Case)

A refund may be considered only in the following situations:

  • A duplicate payment was made
  • A verified technical issue prevented download access
  • An incorrect digital file was delivered due to our error

All refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase by contacting:

Approved refunds, if any, will be processed to the original payment method by Smizekart.


Physical Books (Printed Storybooks)

Printed books are produced on a print-on-demand basis and shipped within India.

Return & Replacement Eligibility

You may request a return or replacement within 7 days of delivery if:

  • The book is damaged during transit
  • The wrong product was delivered

To be eligible:

  • The book must be unused
  • The book must be in its original condition and packaging
  • Clear photos of the issue must be shared with your request

Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for:

  • Digital or downloadable products
  • Books showing signs of use
  • Minor print, binding, or colour variations
  • Orders returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer
  • Sale or discounted items (unless damaged or incorrect)

Refund Process (Physical Books)

Once your return request is approved:

  • We will guide you on the return process (if required)
  • After inspection, refunds will be processed to the original payment method
  • Refunds are typically completed within 7–10 working days after approval

Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.


Replacements / Exchanges

We only replace physical books if:

  • The item is defective
  • The item is damaged in transit
  • The wrong product was delivered

If a replacement is approved, a new book will be shipped at no additional cost.


Cancellations

  • Digital orders cannot be cancelled once the order is completed
  • Physical book orders may be cancelled only before dispatch
  • Once dispatched, cancellations are not possible

Sale Items

Items purchased during sales or promotional offers are not eligible for refunds, unless they arrive damaged or incorrect.


Gifts

If a physical book was marked as a gift:

  • Refunds, if approved, will be issued to the original purchaser
  • Digital products purchased as gifts remain non-refundable

Return Shipping

  • Customers may be responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error
  • We recommend using a trackable courier service for returns
  • We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking
